Livingston School: MAKER SPACE AFTER SCHOOL
A makerspace is a collaborative work space inside our library for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. In our makerspace we have 3D printers, a glowforge (laser printer), sewing machine, coding toys, legos, tinker toys, cardboard, art supplies, etc.
Our goal in the Livy Makerspace is for our students to have a maker mindset of creating something out of nothing and exploring their own interests. The Livy makerspace will provide hands-on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence. Our students will learn skills that they can take with them after they leave here.
I am excited for this new space in the library that everyone can use!!!
Livingston School: 4th grade
Miss Swank's 4th grade worked all morning building props and rehearsing lines to create a Play in a Day. They performed their plays today for classmates and family members! The plays performed were How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express!
With the Collaboration of Kindness club, Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Lewis, students in 3rd and 5th grade delivered ornaments and Holiday Cards to Long Term Care (Cody Regional Health) and Absaroka Senior Living!
The Ornaments were made by Mrs. Lewis's after school program and cards were made by Kindergarten, 1st, 4th and 5th graders. It was so fun to watch their hearts warm and smiles shine!
