🌟 STEM Day Success! 🌟
What an incredible day of learning, exploring, and hands-on fun at Livingston Elementary! Our students were fully engaged and absolutely loved every session. From robotics to beavers, migration games to marble roller coasters—curiosity and creativity were everywhere!
A huge thank you to all of our amazing presenters and partners for making today possible, especially our friends at the University of Wyoming and Dr. Karagh Brummond for helping bring this opportunity to life.
Students experienced an amazing lineup of STEM sessions, including:
🦫 Wyoming Wildlife Federation – Learning all about beavers, their habitats, and how they build dams.
🦌 Wyoming Game & Fish – Exploring animal migration and how barriers affect movement.
🐻 Cody Conservation District – Discovering how bears prepare for hibernation through hyperphagia!
🎨 Trout Unlimited – Creating traditional Japanese Gyotaku fish prints.
🐏 National Bighorn Sheep Center – Learning about the life and importance of Wyoming’s bighorn sheep.
🤖 UW Innovation Workshop Makerspace – Exploring robotics and how they impact our daily lives.
🧭 Elsa Freise (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Creating compasses to explore magnetism.
🎢 Austin Bernard (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Building marble roller coasters to study physics and energy.
💎 Nancy Weinheimer (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Testing and identifying minerals like real geologists.
💧 Lilian Jones (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Experiencing the water cycle through a fun dice game.
🍎 Erik Gwaltney (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Walking through the digestive system with an interactive model.
❤️ Madison Ruhman (UW Science Initiative Roadshow) – Exploring the cardiovascular system and learning how the heart works.
🌲 Teton Science School and Austin Conklin from Northwest College – Bringing even more exciting hands-on learning to our students!
We are so thankful for the partnerships that make these experiences possible. Days like this spark curiosity, inspire future scientists, and make learning come alive at Livingston Elementary! 💡💛 #LivyROCKS #WearePark6

🎃 Candy Donations Needed! 🍬
Livingston Elementary will host our annual Trunk or Read event soon, and we need candy donations to help make it a fun and sweet success!
If you’re able to help, please drop off bags of individually wrapped candy at the school office by Oct 29th.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping make Trunk or Read a spooktacular event! 👻📚

📚 First grade loved having Miss Holly Baker from the Cody Public Library visit for their monthly story time! Thanks for sharing your love of reading with us!

Our RISE classroom and Adaptive PE class had an amazing time fishing today with some wonderful high school helpers! 🎣 We’re so grateful for our teachers who make the most of Wyoming’s natural beauty. 🌄

🐮 5th Grade Field Trip Fun! 🎃
Our 5th grade classes from Livingston Elementary spent the morning with our amazing community partners at Y-Tex!
Students toured the facility and learned about all the steps involved in creating cattle tags — from design to production. They even took part in a friendly “race” to see who could fill a bag with 25 cattle tags the fastest! 🏁
Along the way, students got to see massive machinery, 3D printers, and other high-tech equipment in action.
A huge thank-you to Y-Tex for giving each student a personalized ear tag and a Halloween goodie bag! 👏🎃

Kindergarteners had a special visitor today for Fire Safety Week! 🚒🔥 We learned how firefighters help keep us safe and what to do in an emergency.

We love when former educators return to inspire our students!
A big thank-you to Mr. Geber for spending time with our 4th graders and teaching them how to podcast. 🎧

💯 Big shoutout to our first 100s Club members of the 2025–26 school year!
These kindergartners are off to an incredible start! 🌟

Mrs. Reed’s reading group finished I Survived the Titanic and topped off their learning with a STEM challenge.
Whose lifeboat could hold the most passengers?!
Congrats to Thomas and Charlie, their boats held over 50 passengers!

📚✨🐻 The Stuffy Sleepover Was a Hit! 🐰🌙📖
Our stuffy guests had an unforgettable night at the library! From late-night reading sessions 📖 to sneaky snack breaks 🍪 and epic hide-and-seek games in the stacks, these brave little buddies made the most of their sleepover adventure!
Thank you to everyone who participated and trusted us with their beloved stuffed animals. We loved seeing the joy on your faces when you reunited and saw the adorable photo evidence of their nighttime mischief! 🥰📸

🎃🍂 Our kindergarten and 1st graders had an absolute blast at the Gallagher Pumpkin Patch today! From picking pumpkins to exploring all the fall fun, it was the perfect autumn adventure. 🧡🍁 Big smiles, happy hearts, and lots of pumpkins came back with us! #LivyROCKS #wearepark6

In STREAM, our 4th graders became designers! 🎨 Using Tinkercad, they created their own 3D name tags—and the best part was watching their ideas come to life on the printer! 🖨️✨

Our 4th graders missed a dress-up day while on their field trip last week, so today we made up for it with Toddler Day! 🍼✏️ Big story problems with crayons, stickers, and primary paper made learning extra fun!

📚❤️ Reading is better together! Mrs. Van Antwerp & Mrs. Peterson’s classes enjoyed some library time sharing stories and books.
