Parents, please make sure your child wears their warm winter clothing (jacket, snow pants, gloves and boots) daily to help protect them from the elements and for safety. All children go outside except for when it is BELOW 5 degrees. If you need help getting these clothing items, please contact the office at 587-4271.

This is the last week to get our snowballs in. I think this is going to be a BIG week for the other two schools. I hope it's a BIGGER week for us. Livy Kids are ROCKIN' it with their snowballs. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Last day to turn in snowballs is Friday.

Challenge of the Books
78 elementary students from across the district participated in the Cody Schools Challenge of the Books Competition. The competition is for students who want to read and answer competitive questions with a team. This challenge goes on through middle school where teams compete against others in the Bighorn Basin. The elementary results were:

Livingston School: Noetic Math Competition
The Noetic Math Contest is a semiannual problem-solving contest for elementary students in our district. Problem-solving helps students to become better mathematicians, better thinkers, and more equipped for advanced STEM learning and research. During the contest students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems. This year 2nd and 3rd grade students competed at the advanced third grade level. 4th and 5th graders competed at the advanced fifth grade level. There is a Team Winner who is the top scorer of the district's team. This fall there were several National Honorable Mentions which are students who perform in the top 50% of other students.
