Hello Seniors and Senior Parents, We wanted to reach out and provide an update on plans for graduation. We surveyed the senior class regarding outdoor vs. indoor and 80% of respondents were in favor of holding graduation outside. We will push forward for plans to hold this year’s ceremony on the football field. This will also increase attendee numbers allowed as well. Restrictions currently limit indoor gatherings to 50% capacity which would limit us to 7 attendees per graduate. Outdoor does not have a capacity limit so we can open the event to all who want to attend. We will however have to create a weather contingency plan using the gymnasium. Should the weather push us indoors students will receive 7 tickets to allow for entrance into that area. Overflow access for those without a ticket will be moved to Wynona Thompson Auditorium where we are working to broadcast the event if needed. We are hopeful that the weather will cooperate, and we will be able to hold the ceremony on the football field and honor our amazing seniors with all who want to attend. We will also be prepared to make changes to that plan quickly and efficiently. Thank you for your patience and feedback in this process. Go Broncs and Fillies!!!

Update- the mask exemption request was received this morning. This allows for masks to be optional in the school setting. This will extend to prom this evening as well. At CHS we have one requirement for this.....be respectful! Those that want to continue wearing them are free to do so, those that do not want to wear them are free to take them off. Respect one another. Go Broncs and Fillies!!!
Hi all, we wanted to reach out and provide a quick update on the mask variance request and prom tomorrow night. The variance request has been submitted but we have not yet received an answer. This means we are still under the current health orders which require masks to be worn in school or school functions. Masks will be required at prom. It will still be a fantastic night and we are excited to get the opportunity to have it. Have fun, be safe, Go Broncs and Fillies!!!
Hello CHS Parents and Students, next week we will be collaborating with Cody Regional Health and their Community Prevention Manager for a suicide prevention training. This will be for all students and staff. The training will take place during student’s 2nd block class on one of the days (Monday thru Thursday) next week. There are 5 trainers coming and they will rotate throughout the building those 4 days to ensure all classes are covered. The training will last approximately 50 minutes. If you have any questions, concerns, or feel that your child needs to opt out of this training, please contact the front office at (307) 587-4251. Thank you and have a great weekend. Go Broncs and Fillies!!!
Students- The Cody Police Department has received complaints about vehicles running the school bus stop arm. Please pay attention to the buses parked on Beck Avenue. Even if the buses are pulled off the road, if their lights are flashing and the stop arm is out you need to stop. It’s a traffic violation of Wyoming State Statute 31-5-511(a). This is a $300.00 fine. Patrol officers will be citing any violators. Thanks, SRO Potter
