Livingston Lizard News

There’s always something going on at Livingston, and we want to share all the great news with you. We will keep this page updated with important announcements, news stories, and student shout-outs. Please check back often, and help us celebrate our students’ many achievements.

Positive Behavior Intervention And Supports Assembly

We are excited to hold a positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS) assembly on Friday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m. to celebrate our students making positive choices around Livingston. We will invite any student who earned a Lizard ticket for going above and beyond for being safe, respectful, responsible, or kind to play a game during our celebration. Parents are welcome to come and join in the fun.

Volunteer Appreciation Week

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers that have helped us this school year. Whether you made treats, helped on a field trip, or were able to come to school on a regular basis, we very much appreciate you! Things could not run so smoothly without you. Thank you from the Livingston School staff!

Updated Information

Your children should have brought home a form to update information, as well as a health form to update as well. Please return those as soon as possible. Please make note on the form and return as well, even if your child will not be returning to Livingston School in the fall. 5th graders did not get the forms. Cody Middle School will take care of them.

2017-2018 Yearbook

Some of our 5th grade students are excited about putting together a yearbook. We have some ideas but need help making this project come together in a few short weeks. Are there any 5th grade parents who have an interest in helping? Do any of you have yearbook experience? If so, please contact Mrs. Barb Hopkin or Mrs. Schramm.

Talent Show

Please join us for our talent show in the morning of Tuesday, May 22. Watch for more information coming soon!

Kindergarten Readiness Camp

Our kindergarten readiness camp will be June 4 through June 14 (Monday – Thursday) from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Sunset Elementary School. The kindergarten readiness camp is an excellent opportunity for children to transition from preschool or home to kindergarten in the fall. This program is free to any child registering for kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year. Please contact us with any questions.

Kindergarten Screenings

All incoming kindergarten students will need to have a screening. Screenings are by appointment only, and we will make you an appointment at registration. Screenings will be on Thursday, April 26 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Stock Activities Center, which is next to the Cody High School Gymnasium on Beck Avenue. This standardized readiness screening will take approximately 45 minutes. The results from this screening will help determine readiness levels specific to kindergarten and will help answer questions if there are concerns that a child may need another year to grow.
